Engine seems to run well while under throttle but will not idle. Thats the reason for this 3 star rating. After going online only to find out this a common issue that has never been addressed by Norwood. I overcame the problem by wrapping electrical tape around the push handle so throttle lever will not retract completely. Blade disengages now and idles as it should. After many attempts at re adjusting throttle this is how I worked around the issue. Engine seems to have enough power and revs up nicely for this size of mill. So I would recommend it but they need to fix this issue.

First time owner of a sawmill. This thing is awesome. Once it setup works, perfect engine starts first pool very easy. The only problem I had with the whole saw is the valve coming out of the water tank it's a cheap plastic thing is easy fix. That's my only complaint with the whole saw

OS27 is a powerfull piece of equipments. At first assembling the mill is part of a short necessary learning curbe. Youtube is of great help to improve the original package in proposing add on for the Mill. I find making my own planks and beam have made less construction's left over and waist. I recomand this mill for company and home owner with a small parcel of land and creativity.

I just purchased my second OS27 during the sale in July and have no regrets.I purchased my first one in June 2020 and have used it a lot, many thousands of board ft sawed on it and I've built a couple of outbuildings and about 30 pieces of furniture over the past 5 years. Now these mills are a great value but have several bugs and quirks that each individual owner will incur before and during use.I like the simplicity of it,easy to work on and fix if needed,a lot of parts can be sourced locally also. These manual mills will work you pretty hard if your trying to production mill with it which I don't do because I'm old,so I don't try to saw a thousand board ft a day with it,but have no doubt you could.I will set up this new mill on another area of the farm so I can reduce distance and skidding time. Thanks Frontier for my sawmill and achieving a bucket list item for myself

This setup guide lost it 2 stars and only the value of the extension and trailer deal pushed it to a 3/5. That was heck of a value but wouldnt’ve recommended it to anyone with all the pain and frustration going thru assembly. Had to call support… but Support was there and very helpful if you can call EARLY HOURS EST and then no wait time. Late eve- forget about it.
