“This printer is large and very heavy, some of the bulk is due to the single pass method of printing but you do need a fair bit of space. It has built in duplexing and an extra fold out tray for card and evelopes etc. Pros. The built in networking is a huge bonus and makes it ideal for a workgroup printer. Print quality in black or colour is superb with near photograhic quality on plain paper. Build quality seems fairly solid. Cons. Not a very easy to understand driver. Toner cartridges are only half full, a replacement set will set you back Â£320 BUT you can refill the cartridges using third party toner and chips which cuts the cost of toner by two thirds. I have done this myself and the refills are excellent and relatively easy to do. If you opt for the full energy saving mode it can take a two or three of minutes to start printing. Summation Having had this printer for almost three years I have found it to be extremely unreliable. It recently started to print black lines horizontally across each page. Looking at the manual it could either be the imaging unit, transfer belt or drums of the toner unit. Either of these would cost nearly as much as I paid for the printer so I have ditched this printer in favour of a 1320c which is manual duplex only but works fine. I do not think that non-Lexmark toner is the problem since it worked perfectly with non-OEM toner for over 18 months. See other reviews for more information.”

“I bought two Selphy printers for one photographic job a year ago. Around sixty 6x4 prints were required quickly at a function at least an hour's drive from the nearest photo lab. Quality of print shocked me - wish they made a bigger version. I rarely print 6x4 so for same engagement this year bought the postcard paper which I can use as a promotional tool or simply for family oddments. Second time round I took the printers out of storage loaded new media and left an assistant to it with five minutes "training". Great results.”

“I was a bit sceptical in the beggning when buying this product because of the price. But it works as is should, ink is great. so I'd reccomend this to anyone looking for a cheap but good laser toner :)”
