I bought this product last week. I used to work out quite frequently but now I just do not have the time. So i thought this would help. First impressions are the straps should be adjustable. I do not have large arms and if they were much bigger id have alot of trouble putting these on at all. They are slightly awkward to put on. Placement is important, putting them in the wrong area will affect different muscles i.e. brachioradialis which might be uncomfortable and also cause your forearm to keep flipping over like it did to me the first time. Anyway I put it straight on the 15 minute 3rd setting. I dont see how the other two are necessary unless you are really short for time. I put the settings straight upto 40 and it was very uncomfortable for the first few minutes. I would suggest a much lower initial setting usually but I want to see how good the results can be. As soon as the 15 minutes finished I reset the whole thing and did it again. I am not recommending this but I wnat to see the maximum potential of this product. This time I increased it to 50 and towards the end it was very uncomfortable and my arms were beginning to tire. Once this round finished I again put it on for 15 minutes at setting 50. Finally on the 4th time of me setting it to 50 for 15 minutes it cut out at some point im not sure where. It is presumably a failsafe. I have to say having used gym equipment frequently in the past. You do get the similar stiffness in the muscles as you would in a workout. Although to be honest an hour of armwork in the gym would have been much better. Probably also alot shorter. However this does have its benefits and uses. I.e too nervous to go into a gym with enormous guys when you have small arms. Or you spend alot of time sitting around for whatever reason. Anyway the next day my arms were aching and i tried it out again as soon as I got ready for work. Arms were too sore to go all the way upto 50 so thats a good sign. 2 weeks later of using this for around an hour every day. Arms are bigger and more defined. As with any product you get in what you get out. This is however a bit like using cheats on a computer game. If correctly combined with gym equipment I would consider them an essential part of muscle toning. The straps are the only downside in my opinion. Hope this helps.
