“I purchased the Champion 3000W Inverter (93001i) primarily as a reliable emergency backup power source to run essential household appliances during a power cut.
The initial setup and structured five-hour break-in run using 10W-30 oil went flawlessly. It runs incredibly smoothly under a moderate load, and the Economy mode does a fantastic job of managing fuel consumption when you aren't drawing heavy starting surges. The safety features are also well-implemented; the dual independent circuit breakers (16A AC / 8A DC) and the built-in CO Shield self-diagnostics offer great peace of mind.
The only minor drawback to be aware of is the routine maintenance access, specifically for the spark plug. The access port is quite small, making it near impossible to fit a (man's) hand inside to properly remove the heat-shielded spark plug boot. I highly recommend picking up a pair of long-reach circular spark plug pliers to twist and pull the metal shield safely, otherwise you risk damaging the fragile braided cable by pulling on it directly.
Overall, this is a fantastic, well-engineered piece of kit. Paired with some properly stabilized E5 petrol in long-term shed storage, I have full confidence it will be ready to go the moment it is needed. Highly recommended.”
