“I've never owned a generator before so have nothing to compare it to. We live in mid Wales and seem to get more than our fair share of power cuts due to the weather. We bought this purely as a back up, hoping it would enable us to keep our american style fridge freezer running during any upcoming power cuts.
Typically, we haven't had one in the six weeks since we bought it but I've tested it with the freezer and it was fine. I've also run a 1500W air fryer off it. Again, no problem so happy that we are now covered during the next power cut.
It's quieter than I thought it would be and easy to start, although I did have problems at first as it would run for a few secongs and then die. This went on for some time before it eventually kept going but when I rang Generators Direct about this they were very helpful. The person I spoke to said he was almost certain that it was because I was using old fuel.
I'm 70 but I find that, with care, I can lift and move the generator around ok. All in all, really happy with our purchase.”
