“Early days yet and I have been very busy over Dec 23 and Jan 24, however, so far, so good. Still learning the ropes, watching video tutorials on the the camera and photography. The plan is to start using the new the camera and the new kit lens as often as possible.”
“I have found that the Fujifilm X-T5 exceeds my expectations. I have shot most of my photographs on 120 BW film for the past 61 years since I was given my first camera at the age of 9. I had been dissatisfied with BW results using a variety of digital cameras until I purchased the X-T5. The X-T5 gives me excellent resolution and a very smooth transition of tones from black to white especially noticeable in areas of sky. It is so good that often the JPEGs are very useable and I only need to use RAW when the contrast from Australian light is high. When comparing the X-T5 images to those of my 645 Bronica ETRS using medium speed film it is very hard to differentiate between them. This camera would have been extremely useful when I was working professionally. The image stabilisation works well. So well that one could make more use of a monopod in certain situations. I recommend this camera as it gives me confidence that it will be able to faithfully output my initial visualisation of the image.”
“A great addition to my X-T4, thanks to the 40 Megapixel it is now my preferred camera for group photos. I'm using it mainly with the XF 18mm/1.4. The images can be cropped by a lot without losing too much of the quality. A dream combination, good fun to use”
