“Nice and solid with no bowing or quivering noticeable. Fewer sections is fewer flex points and makes it easier to set-up and pack away. The compromise is that it's rather long when packed up so not ideal for light travel; the GM2542 might be better suited to fit in luggage.
The supplied pivoting foot is nice on flat surfaces but I'd suggest getting the spike & rubber foot set for working on rough terrain.
Paired with a small, high-quality ball-head it is a dream for shooting anything moving. Finally I have a monopod that is enjoyable to use - I can concentrate on taking photos instead of looking for things to lean against.”
