As a Mechanical Engineer in my 50s, I’ve built plenty of things in my life, but I can genuinely say that assembling your bed was one of the most difficult and frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. The bed itself is simple in design and should have been very easy to assemble; however, it was made unnecessarily challenging due to extremely poor instructions. The images provided were low quality, and key steps were missing - such as when to flip components before proceeding. The order suggested in the instructions was impossible to follow in practice. For example, the instructions showed the headboard brackets fitted after the side rails were mounted on the base, which is not possible as it needs to be screwed in from below. The instructions also stated that key parts were labeled, but many were not. Some components had critical features, like pilot holes for castors on the base, which determined their placement - but this wasn’t indicated, meaning I had to redo steps later. What should have taken about 30 minutes ended up taking 2 hours, which was extremely frustrating. While the assembled bed looks great, we were slightly disappointed to see the cream-coloured corner bracket for under-bed storage visible, which we hadn’t expected. Because of the assembly experience, we wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending your company to friends and family. I don’t expect any response to this review; as an engineer, learning from experiences to improve future designs is second nature to me. I sincerely hope you take this feedback onboard and improve your assembly instructions so that others don’t have the frustrating and annoying experience I had.

The wood looks nice but the quality control is terrible. 80% of the holes were in the wrong places, some of the wood panels were warped, other panels that were supposed to be labelled so you knew where to put them were not, and there were multiple errors in the instructions. The flat pack design was also needlessly complicated. For example, the under bed storage unit - a simple box shape without a lid - contained 16 pieces of wood, and took me well over an hour to complete. It bothers me when a company goes on about their products being hand crafted in Britain by their expert craftsmen in their wood workshop when the quality of the product is this bad. It's obviously all marketing guff, and no expert craftsmen were found here. I give two stars because once you've finally put the bed together after drilling your own holes and deciding the unfathomable instructions, the end result does look quite nice. Worth £850 for a small double bed frame, under bed storage box and a side shelf (literally a piece of wood with a bracket on it for £70)? For me, no. Hopefully it stays in one piece for many years to come so we can get good use from it.

Very solid almost too heavy to easily pull in and out from under the bed, assembly instructions terrible and unhelpful, positioning of predrilled holes poor and very basic screws used. Sturdy but not sure they are worth the price

The storage was almost impossible to put yoghurt because the pieces of wood weren’t all the correct length, there weren’t enough screws and the instructions were terrible.
