“Excellent bed and great to be able to speak to someone on the phone. We were very surprised to find some sharp metal poles which hold the headboard without any safety cushioning. It is likely a small child who fell against these poles would gash their heads badly. There is no mention of these in the design details that I could see. It would appear there is no alternative wooden fastening. We boughthe bed as a space saver but because the headboard leans backwards with these metal polls, which damaged the wall and new plastering, it would have been better to have a headboard paralell with the end of the bed. I realise this might not be a problem for other people but I think you should make this clearer on your selling details. We are now using the bed without a headboard while we sort out what to do.”

“We are really happy with our bed and its quality. The instructions were somewhat clear to follow, however when we came to install the bed, the premade holes were often in the wrong place, meanign that we needed to re drill some of them to fit the bed properly. Besides this, we are really pleased and very glad to have shopped with get laid!”

“A bit of a let-down unfortunately - from delivery to set-up to material quality. Delivery - despite booking a specific day, we got the delivery a few days early, which I guess was nice but I don't know what would have happened if we'd been away for the weekend (trusting the delivery would come when we booked it for); but then well after the time slot they'd given us. The guys who delivered were rude, no apology for being over an hour late, and when I pointed out one of the boxes was badly damaged - the whole top had ripped off - he responded "how should I know" and left. Construction - an absolute nightmare, took us two full, frustrating days. Other reviews have said the same and we should have listened - instructions were bare bones, leading to us using the wrong screws in one place and having to go out to try find new ones; and pilot holes were in completely the wrong place making parts, especially the headboard, super tricky to line up. Product - it is a beautiful bed but just feels like corners were cut in ways we wouldn't have expected for such an expensive object, like a silver screw and unfinished board being visible at the end of the bed (no, this isn't one of the parts we got wrong, it's just like that); and the back of the headboard being sharp metal that's damaged our walls (technically there are felt protectors, but these are tiny and just 'balanced' on the edge of the metal so quickly slip to the side). Also very creaky, which I'm sure is due to the warped wood we received, but hopefully will mellow over time. Design - the design is great, we love the integrated drawers and bedside tables; it's just a shame the execution isn't quite there for the price.”

“Wooden element seems solid enough, but screw fixings are very basic, not what I'd expected. Assembly instructions terrible inaccurate and hard to follow, also some missing screws or not correctly sized made life difficult and extended construction times considerably. Let's hope it lasts”

“A good bed that looks great and is just a little different. It feels sturdy and has good floor clearance for storage boxes etc. Just be aware that it comes as essentially several boxes full of spars and planks and you have to screw everything together. An electric screwdriver with a crosshead is a must! The instructions are fine but it took quite a time to build and whilst there are guide holes I had to re-drill some of them as they were too small. I also replaced the screws for the headboard as they are 2mm and the headboard is only 2.2mm thick so I was worried about splitting the front side of the wood - I used some 1.6mm screws and they were fine. Once it’s together it looks good and the visible wood is all nicely stained and varnished.”

“I bought a hardwood bed online. Although a nice bed it is not quite as sturdy as I expected from looking at the photographs. For the price I expected a very smooth finish and was somewhat disappointed in the somewhat rougher finish. The headboard is mounted on two metal pieces and screwed to the bed. The metal parts are quite sharp edged and can easily damage the wall behind it, Assembling the bed was not very easy. The slats did not have holes drilled although screws were provided. Being hardwood I had to drill some of the holes deeper.”
