While some people may go all out, I think this is the perfect dress for somewhere in the middle. I'm not very confident for themed things and almost went for a plain black dress to fly under the radar. This was great - in theme but not over the top. Easy to dress up more but also fine to wear out after and not be pinpointed as "yes you're from a themed party"
I'm usually a size 8 but I agree that going down a size would benefit everyone. While it wasn't unflattering, it was looser than I am used to. It still looks good but I do usually prefer a bit more of a fitted look.
The sequins and beads looks beautiful and not at all gaudy or tacky, none of them fell off during the night and they also didn't scratch me during the event either.”
