“I just rented the size 14. I’m a size 10/ 12 had seen the other review and thought I’d be save with a 14. I was wrong. This is clearly not a 14, even allowing for Nicholas coming up small. The chest size would be what you expect from a 14 and that part gaped but it is cinched in below the bust, with absolutely no give. If you are the right body shape This would be a nice dress.”
“I rented a size 14 for a wedding. The dress I received was labelled “14” but the tag appeared to be freshly stitched in- the waist size was the equivalent of a size10 (70cm not 79cm as described in the fitting notes).
The dress was also very crinkled and appeared to have been machine washed. I don’t think it had been dry cleaned, steamed or cared for in a while.
Overall the service left a lot to be desired and when I raised this issue with Glam Corner I got a “standard” response. There’s not fitting and then there is something completely wrong with what’s been sent. Honestly I expected a better response.
If you’re a size 14 DO NOT HIRE. Who knowns if they’ll have fixed it and you don’t deserve that feeling of trying something on with excitement only to find it’s so wrong it can’t even do up. Or getting no help from customer service.”
