Larger, three-stage, handheld ceramic water stone sharpener for a complete sharpening process. It includes a coarse blue, medium brown and superfine yellow ceramic wheels. The blue coarse-grit wheel is to sharpen dull and chipped edges. The brown medium-grit wheel is for standard sharpening. The yellow superfine-gril wheel is for polishing and refining the edges. “My wonderful Global knives had gotten dull. I was disappointed. Mostly in myself. I know that a ceramic steel doesn't actually SHARPEN knives; it's more for maintenance. I decided to try this sharpener and had MODERATE hope at best that it would brings my knives back to life. I was more than pleasantly surprised, I was AMAZED at how well it worked, how simple it was, and how extraordinarily it transformed my knives back to their original condition! One of the knives needed a few rounds of the recommended 7-8 swipes and one needed 2 (the rest only needed one round), but that's okay! Now that I know how well and easily it works, I will be using it more often to keep them at peak operating condition! Thanks Global!”

“The sharpener is good at preparing the knife edge. I use a ceramic steel to complete the fine edge. It doesn’t seem to remove much steel from blade.”
