“This is a great lead free solder. It can be a little tricky to find the right temperature on the soldering iron. I tin my boards before soldering and with lead solder there is almost no difference between a bare copper run and a tin run as far as heat and flow is concerned. With the lead free I had to tweak my temperature up just a little and from time to time I have to reflow a component lead just to make sure it's not a cold joint. But, I feel better about using lead free and I'm happy with the results in my boards.”
