“I have only ever used Kester 959T Flux and never really got much of a problem producing smooth, shiny joints in my reworks.
That being said, let me tell ya: this thing is awesome!
Pro:
The 959T likes to evaporate and leave before the job gets done (albeit, that was great for me for developing soldering skills), but the RF741 will stay until the job gets done.
Con:
It's harder to clean off (yes, I know it says no-clean, but that's just lazy talk).
It's harder to see the joints of QFP and their ilk during soldering until you clean this flux off.
The cons are nit picky and easy to ignore, but they are there for anyone who cares.”
