Dirk, Are you talking about the ninja buckle or the black flag buckle? The black flag buckle is actually designed to be "vintage" or have a "weathered" look. So if you are experiencing this on the flag buckle, it is totally normal. Regardless of what buckle it is on, we have an unlimited lifetime guarantee on all of our belts (I don't know if you saw this on our site, we also print it on all of our boxes).
