“I bought a new "narrow" belt and started wearing it recently. The webbing is not the same as on my older, "regular" belt. It seems to take a crease from use, and the "free" end is cut partly on an angle, which I've always wanted to make threading it into the buckle easier. Unfortunately the cut is bulkier, partly defeating the point. The older belt cut looks like it was pressed while being heat-cut - it's spread a bit and very flat. The newer belt cut doesn't appear to have been pressed, so it's thicker and grabs. Wins and losses, but still a good belt. Fits most of my pants better than the "standard". It's still good enough that when I see a plain brushed or polished titanium buckle for the narrow belt, I'll buy it.”
