I like the concept. The materials seemed fine. The belt is somewhat thinner in the buckle area than a traditional belt, as advertised. What I didn't like is how long it takes to fasten it. Insert the free end into the slot while angling the buckle toward the body to allow it to pass through. Feed the free end behind the buckle and into belt loops on the opposite side. Angle the buckle again to feed more through if it's not tight enough or needs adjustment. Feed the additional slack into the opposite loops... None of this is hard, but in my opinion, a "regular" pin buckle or webbing buckle is simpler and faster.

It lays flat and is durable. Not the easiest to put on/take off. Looks like a seatbelt; very basic workwear style. Definitely not for any formal or semi-formal wear.

I have the aluminum and titanium buckles along with the 1.5-inch Element and "ribbed" belts. Both buckles and belts work very well and don't slip or become uncomfortable with 10+ hours of wear per day. The titanium buckle is about 50% heavier than the aluminum buckle, and I couldn't visually tell whether the thickness was different. The standard ribbed belt is not as rigid and folds more easily at the back, but this problem is reduced or eliminated by reversing the belt if you don't mind buckling left- or right-handed.
