“Great battery”

“I have only recently fitted the above spec. Yuasa battery to my car. I was aware of Yuasa from watching British Touring Car racing, they sponsored the Honda Civic racing team so it wasn't like I was buying an unknown brand. I bought it because of the 4 year warranty, the 45Ah rating as I thought that this would be more than ample for my car and it was a really good price. It's performing really well. When I bought it I thought it looked a quality item and was really well made. GSF recommended this battery (along with others) for my car (a 14 plate VW Up) and I thought it would be an easy, simple to fit, replacement for my old battery but it wasn't, I had to modify the clamping plate that holds the battery in position. The old battery (originally factory fitted to the car) was an Exide 36Ah battery and the new Yuasa 45Ah battery is about 25mm longer. To get the clamping plate to fit I had to slot the hole in the plate. Anyone with a VW Up thinking of buying this battery to fit themselves should bear this in mind, having worked in engineering all my life, I had the necessary tools to be able to do this reasonably easily. I'm more than happy with this battery”
