“Buying swimwear is not my favorite thing to do. One-piece suits don't fit as I have a long torso and it's also hard to find a swim bottom that actually provides comfortable coverage.
My favorite thing about these swim bottoms is that they provide the right amount of coverage without being frumpy yet not too cheeky.
I ordered several bottoms in both small and medium. I liked all of them. I didn't think there is a huge difference between the sizes and, as such, I will be able to wear all of them. My weight can fluctuate so I am happy with both sizes. For reference, I am 5'4", and range between 112-120 lbs. My hips are larger than my waist so the lower-waisted bottoms fit me better but I also purchased the tummy tuk bottoms.
The small fits more snugly as though it will stay in place maybe a little better than the medium on me. My only concern, and it's a minimal concern, is that I haven't worn these yet so I don't know if the fabric will stretch much when wet making the medium too big. That said, I do not believe the fabric will stretch that much because it is a very thick fabric that does not seem to feel cheap or of an inferior nature. I am hoping they wash well and don't break down.
A lot of reviews said to size up. In my case, my measurements were on the high side of the small but I'm glad I ordered small & medium and will be able to wear both. If your weight fluctuates at all and you carry weight in your hips and thighs, I suggest getting two sizes and you'll always be prepared for a good-fitting swim bottom. If you also carry any weight in your stomach, the Tummy Tuk Swim Bottom will help cover this area as well. I purchased the regular bikini bottoms and the tummy tuk bottoms and like both of them.”
