“My 9 year old autistic daughter has hair that falls beneath her bottom and it is thick. She has many sensory triggers and her head being touched is one of them, and it’s one if the highest. Her entire life brushing her hair has been a very upsetting experience for the both of us. Screaming, crying, hitting and confusion. My daughters hair is part of her identity and she loves it so there’s just way I’d cut it. I have purchased every brush and comb and cream there is, none ever work despite the big money spent.
