“My 9 year old autistic daughter has hair that falls beneath her bottom and it is thick. She has many sensory triggers and her head being touched is one of them, and it’s one if the highest. Her entire life brushing her hair has been a very upsetting experience for the both of us. Screaming, crying, hitting and confusion. My daughters hair is part of her identity and she loves it so there’s just way I’d cut it. I have purchased every brush and comb and cream there is, none ever work despite the big money spent. She didn’t have the coordination to do it herself and I constantly felt like a terrible mother hurting her by brushing her hair. I was skeptic all about this brush to as we had bought many similar, or so we’d thought.
Day one not a single tear, In fact barely a word from miss 9. Day two instead of her begging me not to touch her hair she just stood in front of me ready to go. Day three she asked if she could try brushing her own hair, and that’s it really since then she does her own hair everyday and I just finish it off. I’m honestly shocked. We’ve showed our occupational therapist who we see weekly and they are going to look into them for other clients .
Thank you for bringing peace into our home around grooming time it’s been nearly 10 years and we’ve just found the perfect brush.
If you’re a parent Of a child with sensory needs especially around their head I can’t recommend you try this enough”
“This brush has been a godsend for myself and my 2 daughters. There are no more arguments and fights to brush my eldest hair. She now willingly lets me do it and her hair is looking so much better”
“I originally switched to the happyhairbrush after struggling with the Denman brush (caused scalp pain and took forever to brush.)
My hair is waist/hip length, slightly wavy and tangles easily.
I ordered this brush at the beginning of the height of the Covid19 pandemic and as such shipping took longer than expected, which is fine. When I first opened the package I was a little disappointed and surprised - the packaging looked cheap and had many grammatical errors. When I removed the brush from the packaging, it felt lighter than I expected, which lent to the cheap feeling. My Denman brush (at a similar price point) was slightly heavier, which made it feel luxe and expensively made.
However, when I got to brushing my hair with this brush, I was extremely pleased. It slides through tangles and knots with ease, and massages the scalp without painful scratching or tugging. I am now able to brush my hair in 2-3 minutes, maximum. I no longer dread brushing my hair.
I would recommend this brush to friends and family, though I implore the creators of this great brush to proofread their packaging!
Thank you so much for my brush. It works excellently.”
“My 3 year old didn’t like having her long hair brushed until I bought a Happy Hair Brush. She will now go and get ‘her’ brush and sit herself in front of me for me to brush her hair!
Thank you :)”
“I've bought two of these for my granddaughter - one for my house, one for her house - she has very thick hair and, at 4 years old, brushing hair was a battle until we were put onto this brush - it is amazing.”
