“Tom was great with communication at first, quick to respond and easy to understand. On the day he came over, we did a handover with some basic tasks such as where their leashes are to walk them, food, treats and cleaning the yard after them, and the additional task of cleaning the house (3 week rotation with other people living at home).
While I was overseas, there were some issues with the dog food being delivered and he was great in responding and dealing with that, and also sent me some photos when I asked.
I reminded him that I usually clean the dog's poop twice a week using the bags underneath the sink and asked if he had any trouble cleaning as the grass was a bit long (which I apologised for). He said it was a bit hard but ok. I came home after 3.5 weeks to find that he did not clean their poop at all. There was 2 full bags of poop and took me an hour to pick it all up.
This made me second guess if he walked them every second day like he said. Especially because my housemates mentioned he didn't clean the house on his week of cleaning, or would message in our group chat 'can you make sure Tom refills the dog's water' when my housemates were going away for 4 days.
He also didn't come home some nights (which is completely fine) but the communication wasn't always clear with my housemates if he had fed the dogs or if he needed them to feed the dogs”
