“I ordered the table, bench with back and coffee table and was initially pleased with it, but then I noticed that one of the planks of the table had completely detached until it just fell apart. The table was replaced but the replacement is awful the planks are extremely uneven to the point that makes the table unusable. I’m unable to stand anything on it because it all wobbles and it’s dangerous cups and glasses I’m only able to fill up half way because of the angle they are on the table I’m so so unhappy because after sending photos and videos I was told that’s the character of the table. I get that its not going to be straight but this is dangerous and unusable and was told that I needed to use place mats to even it out this doesn’t help!!! I’m now considering going to a small claims court because there furniture isn’t cheap and I feel I haven’t been treated fairly. I was told to send more photos and videos but why? As you can quite clearly see the problem with the table in the photos that I already sent to them…..so in short absolutely no I would not recommend them.”

Hi Jo, Further to our conversation the other day, i just wanted to follow up. Firstly, we are really sorry to see you are unhappy with the replacement table. Last thing we want is to leave you with an unsafe / dangerous table and i can assure you we are doing all we can to investigate this issue for you. With all our tables, knots, grains, marks and holes of all shapes and sizes are to be expected. You can also expect some natural undulation. Looking at the images you have shared, this is what you're experiencing. From the images we've seen, this does look normal, and we don't believe this is unsafe or dangerous. Each plank of wood is different, resulting in each table being different. This is all part of the charm and why the two tables you have received are also different. To help us investigate this further, we would like some further images of the table to allow our workshop to do a full investigation. As agreed, once these has been received, we'll look to get this progressing ASAP. Thank you for your time the other day and i look forward to speaking to you soon. Many Thanks Gary @ H&W
