A non greasy gel moisturizer that goes a long way at keeping your skin soft but also making any blemishes not get any worse. It feels lightweight when applied being a gel and your skin, mine did felt cooled when it was applied. This has something to do with then ingredients it contains. The aloe Vera along with the peppermint oil does a super job of keeping any blemish prone skin under control. No irritation and with this I found that I didnÕt need to use any other blemish control products. The tube lasts for ages and the right size for taking away on holiday too as I use it then also as it cools and repairs well helps with any sun dried areas on my face. Expensive but worth it.

This gel is lovely to use. The texture is light and easily absorbed into the skin. It also feels cool and is very soothing when applied. I love the scent too, which is subtle but fresh. I actually have dry skin, which isn't the skin type this gel is aimed at, so I found that when I applied on drier parts of my face that it was a bit drying and I had to apply moisturiser afterwards. On the blemish prone parts of my skin, I found it really helped soothe/ calm down those areas of my skin right away, which I was really impressed by. I really liked the gel overall and would recommend it. Personally, I'm not sure if it's worth the RRP to me, based on my skin type, but it's a really lovely, cooling gel, which works well and feels like a treat.

This moisturiser is actually a gel and supposed to be hydrating. I have combination normal/oily skin and although I found it left my skin feeling quite smooth, absorbed well and wasn't sticky, my skin didn't feel really hydrated after using this - there was a dry, tight feeling underneath. It's quite pleasant to use and doesn't have a strong smell. It might be OK if you have very oily skin, but not I think if your skin is more dry and dehydrated. Current Amazon price is nearly £20 with an RRP of £30. That's fairly pricey, and for me this product is not worth that.

I love this moisturiser for its soothing and hydrating properties. It helps to calm down my spots and reduces redness caused by irritants to my skin. It hydrates well, leaves my skin feeling soft and adds a nice fresh glow. It lasts for quite some time and compliments my rose toner well.

Herbal Essentials Hydra 5 Gel with Aloe Vera & Peppermint Oil 50ml is one beautiful to use skin product. I love the coolness of the product and how it left my skin feeling indulged yet I know because of the ingredients my pores will not be clogged with excess oil. I love this skin product and I do wish I knew about it earlier in my life when I was prone to acne. My skin still loves it as the peppermint oil and the aloe vera is so cooling on my skin and now I am going through my menopause I would be prone to the odd spot or two, therefore, this is perfect for keeping my skin clean and clear. I also love the fact it does not leave my skin feeling in anyway tight but fresh, clear and so cool and refreshed. A great moisturiser which I am happy to recommend.

The price point puts this product as a splurge purchase for me when i'm feeling indulgent. However how lovely to receive as a gift. For use on the face, for oily, spot prone, combination skin. I also tested on back of my hand and I thought is was great there too. Hits all the right criteria for me; Packaging : clinical bright white, almost medicine appearance so the auto suggestion is there making me feel a laboratory is involved and there is good stuff inside Ingredients: Hydra, Himalayan spring Water !! Aloe vera, peppermint oil, what more could you want from a moisturiser The 50ml squeezable tube stands up nicely on its lid, so good if putting on your bathroom shelf. Has a nice design with a silver band around the screw top lid for a nice quality touch. There is a peel back silver strip so you know that the product is intact. The clear liquid gel smooths easily onto skin and has a very pleasant fresh smell. It dries quickly to the touch but leaves the skin soft and moisturised.

Linked to my wonderful hormones and accompanied by stress/the weather/what I've been eating - my skin has times when it feels like someone has sandpapered it! At those times, I need something soothing on my face and unfortunately most moisturisers at that point just seem to aggravate my already 'raw' feeling skin. This is amazing. I tried a little, rather cautiously, but it is a totally different kind of product as it moisturises and soothes my skin, but it feels almost like water on my skin as I am applying it, but then suddenly its gone, absorbed into my skin without a trace, but leaving me feeling refreshed (no doubt the peppermint) and my skin soothed (the aloe vera). Special stuff - and the price tag reflects it, but as I only need it for a couple of days a month usually, this should last me a while!
