I'm not totally sure what to make of this. It's a gel, rather than a cream, and I haven't tried moisturising gels before but I live in a cold windy place where skin dries out a lot so I'll try anything once. However, it's important to note that this is meant for oily or combination skin., I would have said mine was combination, but maybe age and location have dried it out some. The gel goes on easily and leaves no residue, though it did sting a bit - possibly the peppermint oil, I have noticed before than product containing this can be a bit acrid. But it didn't make the skin *feel* softer or moister, on the contrary it felt dried out. On the other hand, using it has definitely improved the rough skin I was having trouble with - I think the gel may be forming a barrier against the wind! I would say this does what it says on the tin; it is effective, but isn't hugely pleasant to use, and I will probably go back to creams. It might better suit someone with oilier skin, but then why would someone with oily skin need a mosituriser?

I found the gel a little strange to use. It felt very sticky at first - but was okay after a few minutes. I liked the smell. Personally, I would have prefered a cream.

A lightweight, quickly absorbed gel moisturiser created for oily/combination skin prone to blemishes. The gel is clear, doesn't sink into open pores and leaves no sign of redness or tightness after application. I'm using Hydra 5 gel at night after my usual cleansing routine and I'm waking up to smooth, calm skin in the morning. The appearance of small, red blemishes around my nose and chin are certainly improving. I haven't used a gel moisturiser before and I'm impressed. A nice product that I recommend.

This feels very different from the usual face creams I use as a moisturiser. It is a clear gel which is absorbed quickly into the skin. I love Aloe Vera, it is always soothing. Did I need pure Himalayan spring water? I am not sure. I found that I had to apply two applications, but perhaps I need to adapt to a gel rather than a cream. It is expensive, but if you are plagued with blemishes and outbreaks this should be beneficial

This gel moisturiser is actually very hydrating when you want something instant and non greasy. It smells mainly of aloe which is okay. After a while though my skin did feel like it needed some more hydration so this will be good for hot days or where you have quite greasy skin. Definitely expensive for what it is!

I like this little tube of face gel, although it was quite strange using it at first as I usually use a face cream and not a gel. It applied very easily and almost immediately gets soaked into the skin, so when I'm massaging it into my face all of a sudden there's nothing left on the skin. Weirdly, once it's been absorbed it feels like there's nothing on the skin, unlike a face cream where you usually have a dewy layer left on the skin. There is definitely something there, though, because when I wash my hands after applying the gel I have to rub it off under the tap. My skin feels hydrated and there's no shininess on the face, I have not had any dry patches at all and my sensitive skin has not reacted in any way.

The gel is very lightweight, it feels nothing more than slightly damp on the skin, not greasy or sticky in anyway. It soaked in quickly and made my skin feel soft and smooth. Aloe Vera is known to be very soothing and this is evident in this gel, my teenage son who has been cursed with regular breakouts has used this and whilst there was no miracle his skin wasnÕt irritated by it and it left his skin looking less dry.
