“interesting and informative course but i would question the answer to one of the questions in module Control Measures Part 2 page 25. What does purging of a confined space mean? you give the correct answer as Using an inert gas such as nitrogen, or air to remove dangerous substances by pushing them out of the space. Surely a confined space with nitrogen content increased lowers the oxygen content making it a dangerous atmosphere. I have used nitrogen to purge pipework but never a confined space.”
