“There is a lot of repetition. The PAT testing section is inadequate, it does not tell the operator that the equipment must be switched on in order that a result is obtained. It does not say what to do if the equipment will not switch on because the (on) function requires a voltage input. It does not cover resistance from long extension leads, and how to evaluate them. It does not cover types of fuse, and British standards. It does not suggest how you obtain an earth connection on class i equipment. It does not say that removable leads should be tested separately to the equipment its self.”
