I'm not sure that the concept of resilience is necessarily helpful. There are statements such as "manage thoughts and emotions" and " have positive interactions". These are things that everyone would obviously choose ( so not needed as advice really) but there is no clear way to actually achieve them. It all feels like an exercise in self- and corporate-blame honestly Like the guy who lost his partner. What was described was the grieving process. The concept of resilience had absolutely no bearing on this guy's story. And the advice for social support was to "lean on family and friends" well obviously the success of that depends on how good the family and friends are. Nothing to do with the guy. IT all just seems like an exercise in telling people that difficulties and failures are their own fault because they didn't 'resilience' properly. Nothing wrong with the training per se, I just find the entire concept ridiculous. It's basically CBT right?
