“Some of the info is contradictory. Its says an epipen should only be used if a student has an allergy plan or carries an epipen themselves otherwise if they're having an allergic reaction then I should call 999 first to make sure it's Ok to do so. Then in one of the excercises when a student is having an anaphylatic reaction, the answer is to administer an emergency epipen that the school owns - it doesn't mention calling 999 first or whether or not the student has an allergy plan. So if a student has no known allergy and no , I allergy plan but is clearly not able to breathe, I should call 999 first?? That seems bonkers to me and potentially life-threatening in delayed treatment.”
