“This course contained inconsistencies. For example, in shortlisting, it said: "You're looking to narrow down your selection to four or five people who you will follow up references and obtain DBS checks for." But it goes on to say that DBS checks should be sought after interview. In fact, in the UK, I don't think you are legally able to request a DBS check for someone before making a conditional job offer. It was also a lot longer than it needed to be, gave general advice about interview techniques to pad things out, and most people could pass the questionnaire at the end without doing any training as the questions are so obvious.”
