“I purchased two of these for the reason of installing into backpacks, both mine and my child's. I carry a "laptop" backpack and this fits perfectly in the computer pocket and still allows plenty of room for my MacBook Pro. Your mileage may vary if you have an older, thicker laptop and a computer pocket in your backpack that's already a tight fit. I put mine between the computer and the front of the backpack, thereby also protecting my laptop, not that I'd be shot in the back while running away, but you get the idea. The second one fits perfectly in my child's "kid" backpack which also has a similar "computer" pocket that holds the insert. Glad I made the purchase and hope I never have to repost attesting to its effectiveness.”

“I wanted to have added security for my bullet proof vest so I ordered ceramic inserts. When I received them I learned that are of no use since they are so thic\k they can not fit properly into the vest. If I put the inserts in the vest would no longer fit around me and therefore be totally useless. I am sorry I made this purchase, because I was looking for something light and slim and neither turned out to be the case.”
