“I haven’t bought ‘Citricidal’ for several years so I don’t know when dextrose was included as one of the ingredients. If this addition is part of the ‘new improved’ formula I have to say that I am NOT impressed. I remember it being bitter but that was what I expected from grapefruit seed extract. I didn’t take it previously because I expected it to be pleasant but took it for its medicinal purposes (sugar is never health-giving after all!). Quite frankly I feel disappointed that there is essentially an unnecessary sweetener in a substance which is essentially taken for medicinal purposes.
I am yet to ascertain whether the product as it is, with this sugary formulation, is beneficial. I suspect it probably is not.
I have given three stars as I am currently sitting on the fence regarding its usefulness and suspect I have actually been too generous.”
