“I bought these anchors to go with the Hiplock Gold chain locks. I located the anchor directly beneath the front gear wheels.
Instaling the lock was OK, but one of th screws broke when there was still 20mm to screw in.
So I thought - great job done, thread the chain through the anchor and lock the bike. But no, the chain is not long enough to lock a fairly standard mountain bike with the anchor directly below the lowest point of the bike.
So it needs a U-Lock to effectively extend the anchorage.
This is disapointing for all the hype of supplying integrated locks and anchors that can be floor mounted.”
Thanks for leaving us a review, we're sorry to hear about one of the screws breaking, this isn't typical so our product team will be made aware. We're also sorry to hear the chain isn't big enough for your needs. For alternative options we do also have some loop chains that are designed to be paired with a D/U lock, these chains are longer. As well as our HOME GOLD and HOME SILVER locks which are our longest chains and do not require a D/U lock for lots of extra locking length.
