“Like these, they are robust and lightweight. Obviously won't provide as much protection as a heavy duty lock, but quick and easy to use for coffee stops etc.

“Having used a competing, similar product for a few years, I bought the Z LOK combo recently and used it last week for the most mundane of tasks, locking our grocery cart to a bike rack while we shopped inside. The Z LOK performed well and is more svelte that my older such lock. Indeed, it's something I may keep in a jersey pocket for those ocassions where I hit a cafe after a ride so that despite being nearby, I won't have to keep a constant, anxious eye on my bike. I took away one star for two minor reasons combined: 1) the included plastic holder is silly and will likely become plastic waste for most users, and 2) the combination wheels only turn in one direction, instead of bi-directional rotation. There may be a technical explanation for the second issue, but the first issue puzzles me. It's hard to imagine a serious cyclist with a precious bottle cage mount to sacrifice for a whispy item that could otherwise go into a jersey pocket, yet a casual peddler shouldn't be misled that the Z LOK is so robust as to be used routinely for securing your bike while out of eyesight.”
