“The jeans look and fit nicely as per usual Hobbs sizing, but the material has an awful chemical smell that I’ve never experienced with any jeans before, not even low cost ones. Over the course of three weeks I’ve washed it twice in the recommended wool cycle, tried two cycles of soaking the jeans in vinegar water and rinsing afterwards, took it to the dry cleaner, wore it outside multiple hours to air out and the smell is only halfway gone. I still can’t wear these jeans around other people, especially not the office, and wish I had returned them right away - not the great Hobbs quality I’m used too.”
