“The sizing on this dress is a little disproportionate. I tried on a US size 4 in store, which fit perfectly on the bottom, but was pulling on the buttons across the bust on the top. They did not have a US size 6 at the store, so I had to order online. The design is made for someone with a very small bust (I wear a 36 C bra size). I had to move up to a US size 6, which just barely pulls at the buttons across the chest, but the bottom is now a bit too roomy. I'll still make it work and may need to have it tailored. The color of this dress is beautiful, though, and the fabric is nice, but it is more heavyweight, so not a good dress for the summer. It's made in China, and the fabric is polyester, which I think is the case for most of the Hobbs dresses, which makes me question the price point. Overall, I'm happy with the dress and can't wait to wear it in the fall. Lastly, I did put in a customer service ticket after I placed my online order, as my address didn't convey over completely and correctly when going through the checkout process. They never responded to the ticket, and I never received any acknowledgement that it was received or was being handled. I even checked spam folders. Luckily, I did receive my package.”

“Strange fit. I guess that’s why it was reduced so much in the sale. Too much fabric, made me look like her late majesty Queen Elizabeth 2nd! Staff at Hobbs were delightful as ever & could not have been more helpful.”

“It is very nice dress, I had to size up for buttons not to gap at the chest (size 12 dress in picture on size 10 body with 34 E chest) but you can adjust waist with belt. I only took one star off for material as I would prefer natural not polyester but it's thick and drapes very nicely.”
