“I wore this dress at my husband's 80th. birthday party and so many of the guests remarked how smart I looked. Unfortunately I didn't have a photograph taken at the time but I was very pleased with the fit and the quality of the material. There was very little creasing in it by the end of the day.
The only down side was that it was far too long and I didn't see it on offer in petite. There was no problem in my getting it shortened and it looked just as nice.”
“The dress looks and feels gorgeous, but I returned it owing to the fit of the sleeves being off. The sleeves have an odd cut meaning that they are attached to the dress at a height which is lower than that of my armpits (and, having looked at the photo of the model more carefully, hers too), which restricts movement. Also, the current style of sleeves that Hobbs designs, where the sleeves are neither three-quarters nor full length, looks off - like a small piece of fabric is missing, or like the sleeves shrunk in the wash, which is a real shame as it would have been a gorgeous dress otherwise.”
“Bought for a formal event, it was perfect. The only thing I’d say is I think it’s slightly too big. I’m a standard size 10 and it was rather generous!”
