“The spinach had a nice, garlicky flavour and the potato was well puréed and smooth.
I left the dish in the fridge all day as my dishes arrived frozen and when I took it out of the box to heat up, there was a lot of liquid in the dish, which didn’t look very appetising.
The dish is generally soft, and it may be a good idea to recommend that this be eaten with a side of bread!”
“I liked this a lot in flavour but had some queries about it. I had a chilled delivery & stored it in fridge for an evening & a day before using as I also had 2 other dishes to test. Sorry, but could not down them all at one meal!
Anyway, when I opened this dish last night it was very watery, probably from the ice formed when it was frozen & then slowly defrosted. It was very tasty when heated but had a consistency half-way between a sauce and what you would expect from a potatoes purée so Confusing to the palate in a “Heston Blumenthaly”
type-way As we ate & the mixture sat in its pot it thickened & got better but still sort of neither fish nor fowl, especially as I had somehow envisioned that it was a potato mash & a separate garlic & spinach sauce. Perhaps re-naming the dish slightly differently would make it less confusing to the eater, but maybe this is something else that would more reliably do “what it says on the tin” if it were frozen & made clear it was a potato & sauce mix & much heavier on the sauce than the potato purée — or perhaps mine just seemed that way because of all the water that had apparently been released by the defrosting process.
Sorry for long comments, but loved the flavour & wanted to explain why down-rated this item in my overall rating.”
“This is a delicious sauce with potato side it would be a great accompliment to many meals. The seasoning is spot on and has a very subtle garlic flavour, not over powering at all. The potato is smooth and creamy as is the spinach which is a lovely vibrant green. It was very quick to reheat so useful to have in the freezer for a quick meal. I would definitely buy this meal again.”
