“So far it works great. The ice on the left is from a regular mold, the one on the right is from the tevolo mold. works just like it says. takes a little time to get it right. plus the clear ice lasts twice as long as the white ice. i left it in the freezer for 24 hours.”
“Great glass and ice kit! I’ve had this kit for about 2 years, give or take, and still use it fairly regularly. My Bourbon or Scotch, depending on the day I’ve had, really opens up the aroma (nose) and taste (palate) when adding the ice ball (make sure and use flat filtered water). Plus, after I’ve had a few rounds, watching the ice ball as I move it around, gets really mesmerizing! Having an ice ball makes the ice melt much slower, and evenly all the way around- for those that don’t understand why you use an ice ball.
I’d realistically give this 4.5 stars for 2 reasons. 1, the ice ball is a little too big, but after you’ve poured your 3rd or 4th shot, the ice ball is the perfect size. 2, I do wish (and think) they should add a 2nd ice ball maker to the kit. Because they don’t, on my “non-liquor days”, I make as many ice balls as I can, then put them on a little plastic tray in the wet bar freezer for future use (FYI, ice DOES go bad after a while, so I personally don’t use any ice balls after a week to ensure that you’re getting ONLY, pure Scotch/Bourbon taste and aromas).
