“Make two ice molds just in case the first mold melts too fast. We kept the mold in the shade and we put a bag of ice under the mold itself (to keep the plastic mold cold) and both molds lasted 5 hours. We loved it!”
“This ice luge was a huge hit at my party. I made the mold about 30 hrs. ahead of time because I heard it may take longer than the 24 hrs that the instructions say. Fill it up exactly as the instructions say (dont use more water), otherwise when the water freezes it will be uneven. I added some food coloring to my water to make it cool colors. Also, dont try to force it out of the mold. Let it stand at room temp for about a half hour, then take it out. Only con is it melts pretty fast, but oh well! It was a lot of fun while it lasted!!!”
“This was a hit at my Birthday party! Although, we were not able to put our shot glass at the bottom because the liquor would spill everywhere. You must put your mouth to the ice in order to get the shot.
It also didn't freeze level, it was bumpy, but still worked fine.”
“The way the luge freezes leaves hilly" bumps in the ice. Flipping it over to place it on the stand causes it to wobble and slide all over the place. I tried freezing "practice" blocks for about a week to get it right with no success. Also the luge melts in random places allowing the liquid being poured down it to escape wherever it wishes before reaching the drinker.”
