“These are great, but after time they don't shut off properly, as the ball valve inside seems to get stuck. I have noticed that even when new the hole in the ball valve is not completely opened. I have pulled one of mine apart and put some Vaseline on the ball and rubber seal, which seems to help with the shut off. I did buy new shutoff handles as I thought that that was the problem but it wasn't. The only way I can see to fix the problem would be to make the valve and turn off handle out of stainless steel, I know everything is made to a price and the cost would rise, but they would last a looottt longer.”
“But still don't know how to connect it , waiting for some help or I may have to call again, but know they will help me. Love the help Hoselink has always given me, would never buy anywhere else.”
“These flow controllers are not a quality product like the rest of the hoselink products. The lever easily becomes unattached. I’m not sure if production has changed but I have been through 3 in a short interim”

HI Graham, thank you for your review and feedback, appreciate your thoughts. We did strengthen these levers a couple of years ago and change the material they were made of to match the rest of the fittings and provide greater UV resistance. As for why they are not made of metal. We have had issues in the past when mixing metal and plastic components as they wear on each other differently. There is also a significant cost involved in making the swap which would increase the overall price of the fittings and levers. So we made the improvements to the handle while keeping it a nylon plastic in an effort to solve the problem and keep the prices down for our customers.Kind regards, The Hoselink Team
