“I am pleased that the product is sturdy enough for the application. My only concern relates to how we had to mount it on a brick wall. We discovered that the brickwork of this house, unbeknown to us, had more air gaps - holes - in the brick than what I had thought a standard brick. That is not any design vulnerability on the part of Hoselink We could not locate and secure enough solid brick into which to drill 4 holes! We resolved the issue with a piece of galvanised steel in which we could match and drill holes into the solid part of the brickwork, install 4 nuts as spacers and then the supplied bolts were sufficient to go through these holes holding fast with the supplied plugs. Then with additionally bought nuts and bolts we were able to affix the bracket. As my engineering minded friend - with a sharp masonry bit and hammer drill suggested - the fitting would probably survive 8 inch naval gunfire! Fortunately we live 40 kms. from the sea and the neighbours are friendly.”
