Hi Brenden, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. You will need to clip the clamps together for them to hold in place. There shouldn't be any problems with them fitting through the rollers on the Hose Reel unless you have ordered the incorrect size repair kit. We do have both a 12mm and 14mm option which are for our standard Hose Reels and the Hi-Flow option. If you have ordered the incorrect size, we can definitely send the correct item out for you. Sorry to hear you did have these problems with your hose reel however it's great to hear our technician has been able to fix this up for you. The repair kit you received was specifically for the 14mm hose size therefore, you shouldn't have had any issues with it. We will double check these in our warehouse to make sure this is the case.
