“Expected the padlock to be larger, to fit across full diameter of the mounting pipe. Turns out it’s not, but still does the job of preventing easy removal (theft) of the reel from the mounting bracket.The padlock fitted in easily, without any issues. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, so cannot comment on durability and rust resistance.”

“I found the padlock secured the hose reel really well (no pun intended) and fitted easily. It is solidly built and the key inserts with a secure click. It’s brass materials offer a weatherproof and reliable solution to potential theft and the padlock looks good too. I have no hesitation in recommending this anti-theft solution. In addition I feel that it is a must where the hose reel can be seen from the street and I’m sure the lock would act as a visual deterrent to any thief.”
“So far I have trouble rolling up the hose - my son-in-law thinks it is because I'm only about 5ft.tall & I don't pull it hard enough - but most times after several tries it does roll up O.K.The padlock is handy but I was surprised it did not have a bigger shank to go thru both holes on the hose bracket - I thought at first it was the wrong size but on phoning the company the gentleman that answered said it only went thru 1 hole.”
