“We have 2 hoselink reels, one of which is about ten years old and still works fine. It came with the metal 7 function spray gun which worked well. The second reel I bought came with the plastic version which due partly to the sub zero temps we experience during winter freezing water in the gun split along the seams as do most plastic guns. I replaced the plastic gun with another but over the following winter the same thing happened.
In my opinion if you live in area prone to severe frost and sub zero temps the metal gun is the best option from Hoselink”

“The plastic catch on the top of the spray gun for letting the water flow through had seased up with calcium from the water and I could not use the sprayer. I decided to upgrade to the new design with the trigger and found this to be much better. I also bought spare parts and a replacement swivel connector in case I have problems in the future.”
