“I received a 2-way plastic adapter as part of a gift set and purchased the brass adapter for our second outdoor tap with the view to comparing products. The brass adapter retails for slightly more than its plastic cousin, and I had little doubt that I would be more impressed with the quality of the brass unit over that of the plastic.However, I found the plastic adapter easier to fit and tighten (I required the use of pliars to tighten part of the brass adapter), and I found the on/off switches on the plastic adapter easier to move (and I thought their direction for on/off more intuitive).Of course, I cannot estimate the life of each product, although it would be expected that brass would outlive plastic, and yet, if making a purchase of two adapters, I would opt for the plastic over the brass.”
