“After purchasing our 30m Retractable Hose Reel which we are very happy with, we kindly received the Ratchet Pruner as a mother’s day gift. Today we used the pruner in the garden for the first time and sadly a pin popped out and we lost the ability for it to open and close so we’re unable to prune any of the roses with it. I’m sure it’s a good product, but glad I hadn’t purchased it.”
“Ok, so here is my story! My bestie’s 60th coming up, suggested he would like Hoselink etcSo I jump on line order away a new beaut 30 metre hose reel on it’s way! Tick the box!Previously visiting the bestie who has overgrown plant on footpath which I had mentioned tripping over several times.... Oh, I see you are offering pruners with my purchase, it’s my lucky day, I shall fix that plant myself. Box arrives, I tie bows, ribbon etc thinking are my pruners in this birthday box or will they come later! Oh well it’s birthday day today (Wednesday) so I merrily intend to deliver, I park my car in the driveway, hop out load up with celebration bubbles etc... yep you will never guest, I tripped over said plant, face plant into the brick house, break wrist in three places , two days in hospital, home after surgery and still don’t know if my pruners arrived because bestie didn’t open box because he said he knows what’s in it! I didn’t mention the pruners might be in the box! So I’ll give you a five star rating on the premise I will have get to use them one day and hope they are left handed! “Have not yet used them as i was not aware that a tap fitting was also required. This would of been nice to know! Maybe When it is a new client, just a quick email to make sure they have all of the compatible parts they need. So now i have over $100 worth of things i can not use until i purchase a tap fitting. Top quality product though. And Australian made and owned!!”

“I love them however they did not last long. The first pair had a lot of work but the pin securing the ratchet dropped out after three weeks and was lost. The second pair lasted about ten days, again with a lot of work, before the spring broke.”
Hi Marilyn, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, sorry to hear you have experienced issues with your Ratchet Pruners. We have actually changed the design of the pin, it is not a screw and lock nut therefore, a lot more secure. Regarding the spring, that is not something we generally have issues with therefore, super interesting to hear that.
