“This post would be ok if bolted to a fence post or similar but a mounting base should be available for it so it can be bolted to concrete as a free standing post”
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The Mounting Post we advise to install by securing into the ground using concrete, to be able to take the weight of the reel. This was tested and became the best option to make sure the post is secure. I will of course, pass your suggestion on to the products team.
