In my experience, it will be guaranteed to come on if it's placed in the daylight during the day, even if it's overcast. The solar light comes on as soon as it darkens and it's long-lasting.The choices on the solar light are amazing. The orange colour setting makes the light look like the sunset.The Solar Sphere L is a great statement piece (for e.g. on an outside dining table).My only criticism is that the remote for the light can be hard to use. It's laggy and/or non-responsive sometimes on pressing the buttons to change the light settings.”
