“Though this does feel much better than the acrylic one I had for 5 years, I do worry about the long-term wear and tear on this unit.
My acrylic one's lid would often need to be tightened up.
This dugout has noway to tighten the lid back up if it ever comes loose, due to the method they used to attach it.
It is also a much softer metal than expected for the weight. Dropped it once and got 3 chips on it, all were sharp until smoothed down.
If it were a more solid metal or even if it had a screw instead of a pin holding the lid on, I would have alot more faith in the long-term use.
Even so I'm not sure there is a better option on the market, I've never found one.”
“Love this one-hitter. Good quality. The only downside of an aluminum bat is that it gets hot and resins will come through after 3 or 4 back to back hits.”
